Care is often provided by someone working alone which incurs further risk when faced with a choking emergency. Carers can face the difficulties of managing an elderly person or an adult with additional needs single-handed in a choking emergency, which means they do not have the additional support needed to move someone who is in a sitting position.
In contrast to a dedicated care setting, a carer may not have colleagues on hand to call EMS or to assist with BLS Choking Protocol.
This is likely to present an increased risk that should a choking emergency occur, the outcome will not be a successful one.
The implementation of a LifeVac ACD within the individual’s own home ensures it is immediately accessible by a carer in a event of choking emergency.
LifeVac comes in three different variations, Standard Kit, Wall mounted Kit and LifeVac EMS Kit. Different Mask Sizes are available to purchase separately as well.
Toddler, Small Adult/Child, Medium Adult, Large Adult and Extra Large Adult Masks
